Around the yard and up the stairs

We stayed pretty close to home in April while we were waiting for Craig to get his UK driving license. He took the driving test on Tuesday and passed with flying colors. Time for a road trip! Luckily the sun came out a little bit and gave us an excuse to play in the back yard:

We had one last Mom and Baby hangout before our friends Tina, Lin, and their baby Alan moved to London. Here's Alan, Billie, and Maya together.

At the end of May we are going to be moving into Tina and Lin's house in Wigston (just outside of Leicester). Pete is going to love living right next door to the big open park and golf course. Heaven help all wildlife in Wigston!

Talking about Pete, the dirty dog got really shaggy while we were away in America, so we had him shorn by Miss Emma Scissorhounds. This is the before pic.

Can he even see?

Ta-da! Ready for summer and looking ten pounds lighter.

Practicing for the driving test.

St. George's day. Maya is wearing her red, white, and blue to represent her two fave countries.

The rock biter prepares for a snack.

I just realized the other day that some of these rocks are actually fossils. I'm taking a souvenir when we leave!

Pete's never far behind.

To be or not to be...a plum tree.

On rainy days we play inside and work on our skills:

Pete even makes an appearance in this video!

Buds.

Thanks Auntie Lisa for knitting this great sweater!

Story time.

Honk.

Le smack.

Now if only she could learn to go down the stairs we'd be all set!
