Chocolate first thing in the morning. Tasty! Even Pete wants to get in the action. |

The "Easter Bunny" a.k.a. Craig set up an egg hunt all around the back yard. It was raining a little bit but still a lot of fun. |
Found one! |
Found another one! |
Maya liked Easter egg hunting so much that we did two more egg hunts inside after. |
Visit from Grannie Annie
My mother came to visit at the end of April/beginning of May for a week while Craig was gone on a trip to the USA. Our plan was to have a relaxing, laid-back visit around town.
Maya and Mom taking Pete on a walk at Knighton Park. |
Resemblance? |
Here are a couple of pictures my Mom took of Maya hamming for the camera. |
Maya, Me, and Pete in the back yard. |
Once day we went to explore the golf course behind the house. |
When Maya got tired, we put her into the baby backpack. |
I wanted to explore the racecourse next door, so we decided to take a path through the golf course I've never been on. |
Suddenly, we were right out on the course! My mom and I decided that we should take some pictures like we owned the place. |
Anne at the races.
Me and Maya at the races. |
Next, at trip to the playground. |

Lunch break at the High Cross Pub. |
Mom's fish n' chips. |
Maya learned a new word at lunch, "Beer." She was chanting, "BEER, BEER, BEER" at the top of her lungs. Uh oh! |
Really all she wanted to do was put her fingers in the foam. |
...and then have my mom taste it (for now!) |

Site of Leicester Castle. |
Newarke Museum. This has been on my bucket list since we moved to Leicester because one of it's claims to fame is that it was once the home of a very fat man. Sounds interesting! |
It turns out that it is also a war museum...and a local history museum. Very interesting. |
Still, the highlight was the fat man's clothing. The thing on the bottom left is his huge stocking. It would fit both of my legs in at once! Well worth the visit. |
Last but not least, a photo op in the phone booth. |
Maya, Craig, and Me dropping my Mom off at the Birmingham Airport. |
Now, a couple of blasts from the past. Birmingham Airport almost two years ago. |
Me, circa 1985. Look familiar? |
